  • SonoCon Soundwall Systems

    Protect Community From Power Plant Noise

    Providing both high transmission loss and sound absorption properties, SonoCon sound barriers reduce community noise and shelter personnel from annoying or potentially dangerous noise levels. Engineered to withstand most adverse exterior weather conditions, the walls are engineered to basic wind speeds of 95 MPH, are resistant to UV and are provided with a proprietary water shedding acoustically permeable membrane protecting the non-hygroscopic acoustical core.

    The SonoCon acoustical panels are constructed of G90 galvanized steel as standard. Options include stainless steel and thermal setting powder coat finishes. Structural steel is generally provided with standard shop prime paint but can be supplied with a galvanized finish or of stainless steel.

  • SonoCon High Performance (HP) Sound Absorption Panels

    Type SC Double-Wall panel constructions are rigid preassembled units installed with tongue and groove or flush connections. Panels are available as 2-1/4" and 4-1/4" thick. The acoustic fill is packed under compression and the perforated or solid back sheet protects against settling and harboring of vermin. Solid backed panels provide transmission loss.

    Standard Type SC panels are constructed using a minimum of 22 gauge perforated steel and 18 gauge solid sheets. For exterior applications, 20 perforated steel is utilized. Internal stiffeners, trim, and framing are fabricated of 16 gauge steel.

    SonoCon Class One, Type E exterior noise control systems are fabricated of acoustical panels which provide substantial sound absorption and transmission loss performance.

  • SonoCon Class 3 Preassembled Noise Control Structures

    SonoCon Class 3 acoustical panels provide both significant sound transmission loss performance and sound absorption characteristics. These properties used together effectively reduce the noise levels by eliminating the reverberant buildup of acoustical energy within an enclosure, eliminating reflected energy as a source of multiple sound paths, and acting as an effective barrier to the passage of sound.

  • Acoustical Test Chambers and Enclosures

    SonoCon acoustical testing and sound level measurement test chambers are engineered to precisely match the unique requirements of the customer. These include chambers to measure overall sound pressure levels in accordance with ISO and ASTM standards for product certification, quiet acoustically soft rooms for in-house product research and development, as well as enclosures to determine overall pass/fail sound levels often in production environments.

  • SonoCon Industrial Silencers

    Silencers are installed in the gas stream to reduce both blower generated noise as well as noise which is being created upstream or downstream of the blowers. Silencers can be installed at a blower inlet, at the blower discharge, within the ductwork or at the duct termination point such as exhaust stacks or inlet plenums. Round or rectangular, silencers can be fabricated in most any configuration as needed to meet space, attenuation and allowable pressure drop constraints. In general, increasing silencer size will increase attenuation and decrease its added resistance to airflow. Further, locating the silencers at some distance from the blower equipment and away from elbows or turns, and locating the silencers where flow of air is fairly laminar will minimize added resistance to airflow.

  • SonoCon Acoustical Louvers

    SonoCon acoustical louvers are fabricated in various assembly depths to match the sound attenuation requirements. These are typically installed in the building walls to reduce the noise transmitted through the ventilation openings needed for mechanical equipment cooling or air distribution. SonoCon louvers are easily installed in panelized or conventional construction and require little additional floor area.

    Requirements for aesthetic design, corrosion resistance, pressure drop and insertion loss dictate the design of the acoustical louvers. Generally, acoustical louvers are either aluminum or galvanized steel with airfoil or parallel surfaces.

    High performance sound absorption and reverberation control

    Schema Series acoustical panels can be matched to most any interior providing better acoustics and reducing distracting noise.

    Noise reduction coefficients (NRC) range from 0.55 to 1.15 to meet the most rigorous acoustical requirements.

    Schema Series acoustical panels are manufactured in sizes to 48" x 120" and in thickness varying from 3/8" to 2 1/8" to suit the architectural and design standards.

    Schema Series panel finishes include polyester fabrics, vinyl sheet, and architectural metal and wood facings.

    Schema Series panels are Class A fire rated and come in a wide selection of finishes and color options, custom fabrics and/or customer's own material can be used.
